Final Piece: Sugar Skull

For my final piece I decided to do a Sugar Skull after recently getting inspiration from the movie Coco. I did this on Illustrator.

Change 4: Don’t Splash Your Trash

For my last change piece I decided last minute that I wanted to do something other than painting or drawing. I decided to use illustrator and kind of make a poster out of it. Looking on Pinterest I got some ideas about bottles in the ocean and wanted to put fishes trapped in the bottle. I wanted to keep it simple yet informative.

Change 3: Duck out of oil

For this piece I just wanted to make this just a painting. I recently saw a commercial for the Dawn Dish Soap about how people use their soap to clean the wildlife from oil spills. Instead of trying to make it realistic I decided that I wanted to have fun with it and draw out a rubber duck. I also used India ink for the oil spill.

Change 2: JellyBag Fish

Because of pollution a lot of litter has been washing up a shore. With that, plastic bags in the ocean have been mistaken for jellyfish in the ocean and the plastic bags get eaten by their predators like sea turtles, sharks and swordfishes. I painted an ocean underwater and decided to outline jelly fish out of plastic bags, cut them and glued them on the canvas.

Change 1: Bird’s Nest

For my series of Change I decided that I wanted to do something about how Pollution has affected and changed the ecosystem throughout the years. For this piece I wanted to paint a bird with a nest and use newspaper clippings and collage that over the nest. I wanted to keep it simple and since I don’t know how to paint that well I didn’t want to mess it up too much!
